Terms of Service

1. The agreement

These terms are an agreement between you and Kristalic Inc., operating as RemioVR (“we”, “us”) for the game Faceless Ape Corp (the “Game”), this website and our official community channels. By playing the Game you accept them. If you do not agree, please do not play.

The Game is distributed through the Meta Quest Store, so Meta’s terms also apply to your use of the platform. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information.

2. Who can play

You must be at least 13 years old and meet Meta’s requirements for a Meta account. If you are under 18 (or the age of majority where you live), a parent or guardian must agree to these terms for you and is responsible for your use of the Game and for any purchases.

3. Your licence

We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and play the Game on devices you own or control, for your own non-commercial entertainment. We own the Game, including its code, art, characters, audio and name. You may not copy, modify, reverse engineer, resell or build competing products from it, except where the law says you may.

4. Code of conduct

The Game has live voice chat and many players are teenagers. You agree not to:

• harass, threaten, bully or sexually harass anyone, or use hate speech or slurs;
• share sexual, violent or otherwise inappropriate content, or ask anyone for personal information;
• cheat, exploit bugs, use modified clients, automation or unauthorised third-party tools;
• duplicate, sell or trade accounts, items or currency for real money;
• impersonate our staff, moderators or other players;
• disrupt servers, attack other players’ connections or try to access data that is not yours;
• break any law.

We may warn, mute, suspend or permanently ban accounts that break these rules, and remove items or currency gained by cheating. Report problems through the Meta Quest reporting tools, on our Discord or at support@remiovr.com.

5. Virtual currency and purchases

The Game is free to play and may offer optional purchases, such as packs of in-game currency. Virtual currency and items are a limited licence to use a feature of the Game. They have no real-world value, cannot be exchanged for money and cannot be transferred outside the Game.

Purchases are processed by Meta and follow Meta’s refund policy. Apart from that, and apart from any rights you have under consumer law that cannot be waived, purchases are final. We may change prices, items and balancing as the Game develops.

6. Videos, streams and your content

We love creators. You may record, stream and upload footage of the Game and monetise it through platform advertising, memberships and sponsorships, provided the content follows these terms and the rules of the platform you post on, and does not suggest that we endorse it unless we have agreed to that.

If you send us content, such as clips, fan art or feedback, or tag us in it, you allow us to use, share and feature it on our channels and in promoting the Game, with credit where practical and without payment. You can ask us to take a feature down at any time.

7. Updates, early access and availability

The Game is in active development. Features, items and progress may change, be reset or be removed, and access may be limited to scheduled playtests. We try to keep the Game online, but we do not promise it will always be available, and we may stop operating it after reasonable notice.

8. Play safely

Virtual reality is physical. Follow the health and safety guidance for your headset, clear your play space, take breaks and stop if you feel unwell. You play at your own risk.

9. Disclaimers and liability

The Game is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent the law allows. We are not responsible for the conduct of other players or for third-party services such as Meta, Discord, YouTube or TikTok.

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or removes your statutory rights as a consumer.

10. Ending the agreement

You can stop playing and ask us to delete your data at any time (see the Privacy Policy). We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms. Sections that by their nature should survive, such as ownership and liability, continue to apply.

11. Changes and contact

We may update these terms as the Game changes. We will change the date at the top and announce significant changes in our Discord or in the Game. Continuing to play after a change means you accept it. Questions: support@remiovr.com.
